This beauty was found when we arrived at a customers’ house to quote on repair a different garage door.
This is an accident waiting to happen, as the motor is barely making contact with the door. If the motor or the drum lets go the door would have come down very fast, as the springs were not adjusted properly. Amazingly the motor is still intact, as running the gearbox at such an extreme angle could have resulted in major damage to the gearbox.
Always make sure to inspect your contractors’ work, and if something doesn’t look right, query him or her about it immediately.
